Kalyan Jewellers is Emerging Retailer of the year

Kalyan Jewellers was recognised and awarded the Emerging Retailer of the year at the recent Economic Times Retail Awards, for its aggressive efforts in building pan-India operations despite a slowing market.

The Economic Times Retail Awards platform is an annual initiative, which celebrates the best of global retail, recognising the brightest and most innovative in the field, the role of retailers setting examples for other sectors in the consumer service industry.

The ET Retail Awards 2014’ recognizes and encourages the pursuit of excellence in business operations, customer service, merchandise mix and corporate social development. The awards were conducted in Mumbai in partnership with the Retailers Association of India (RAI) amidst an audience of 100 leaders from the retail industry.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. T.S. Kalyanaraman, Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers said; “This award is an indication of our growing presence in the market, which can be attributed to the trust our esteemed customers have in us. Some of the other winners were; Ajit Joshi, of Infiniti Retail, Cafe Coffee Day's VG Siddhartha, and Department store chain Shoppers Stop amongst others.

Kalyan Jewellers is the flagship of the prestigious 100-year old Kalyan Group with its origins in textile manufacturing and retailing.
