Mr. Govind Dholakia invited by ISRO as guest speaker

Shared his life’s journey on “Entrepreneurship: - Wonders of Traditional Wisdom”

In the rare occasion that a leading diamond and jewellery manufacturing company and India’s leading space research organisation would interact, Mr. Govind Dholakia, the chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., was recently invited by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) as a guest speaker. This followed a visit by Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar, Director of Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad to SRK office at Surat, Gujarat. Dr. Kumar was inspired and impressed with SRK’s applications of the most advanced technology, and invited Mr. Govind Dholakia to share his life’s journey on “Entrepreneurship: - Wonders of Traditional Wisdom” with the scientists at ISRO.

Mr. Dholakia is reputed for his exceptional entrepreneurial skills and in being a visionary philanthropist contributing to communities and people of Gujarat.

ISROP and SRK both share a common principle- that of self-sufficiency to invent their own principles. Mr. Dholakia, hailing from a family of farmers in the Amreli district of Gujarat, spoke of how he applied his traditional knowledge, ethics and principles to drive his company from a small partnership firm to a 600 million $ US company.

Also, Mr. Dholakia was invited by IIM Ahmedabad ( a leading business school) last month, as a guest lecturer. This year SRK Export is celebrating 50 years of Integrity.
