Exquisite diamond jewellery worn by the European royalties and Hollywood legends will go on dazzling display at Cartier's biggest ever exhibition held in December.

One of the standout pieces included in the exhibition is the 10.47 carat diamond engagement ring that belonged to the silver screen legend Grace Kelly which was gifted to her by Prince Rainier of Monaco, which she wore on the set of the classic 1956 film High Society.

Also among the featured pieces of the Cartier exhibition are a series of jewels once worn by the Duchess of Windsor, who King Edward VIII abdicated the British throne to marry. A 9.65 x 9.59 centimeter-long brooch was made with stones belonging to the Duchess herself with the flamingo's body set with calibrated diamonds, sapphire feathers, rubies and emeralds. The brooch was designed by Jeanne Toussaint, who later became the luxury jewellery designer for Cartier.

The exhibition, which features 600 pieces of jewellery including actress Elizabeth Taylor's 'La Peregrina', Gloria Swanson’s platinum and rock crystal bracelet and Maria Felix’s necklaces and bracelets in the shape of crocodiles and snakes weighing more than 126 carats, will go on display at the Grand Palais, Paris, from 4th December celebrating the art and history of the iconic jewellery.
