Around 100 precious gems found on Mont Blanc

Precious gems including emeralds, rubies and sapphires worth around $330,000 and around 100 in number were discovered on Mont Blanc, by a mountain climber, reports say. The gems are believed to belong to one of the passengers of one of the two flights of Air India which crashed into the mountain in 1950 and 1996 reports say. % %The gems were found in a packets with some bearing the words ‘Made in India’. The mountain climber has submitted the gems to the French authorities, reports add.

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and the European Union.
