5th edition of GIJS ends on high note with more than 120 exhibitors

The 5th edition of Gujarat International Jewellery Show (GIJS) – 2013 ended on high note with more than 120 exhibitors from Rajkot, Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai participated in the three day show held at YMCA Ahmedabad. Inauguration for GIJS 2013 took place on 20th September, 2013 at 11:00 AM in presence of Shri Sombhai Modi (Brother of Shri Narendra Modi, Honourable, Chief Minister of Gujarat), Smt. Meenakshiben Patel, Mayor, AMC, Shri Hareshbhai Soni, Chairman, GJF, Shri Shantibhai Patel, President, GJTCI, Shri Shankarbhai Patel, President GCCI, Shri Kamal Dayani, IAS, Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, , Shri Zaveribhai, Regional Chairman GJF, M/s. Zaveri & Co., Shri Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki, Member of Parliament, Ahmedabad.

The jewellers showcased Gujarat’s expertise in Kundan, Diamond and Gold jewellery. Visitors saw extensive range and diversity of offerings. The Show was largely attended, with representation from various states, between exhibitors, attending retailers and press. The show had Gold, Diamond and Kundan Jewellery stalls having uniform opportunity of presentation. The mega event had been supported by Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Tourism.

The three day event witnessed more than 5000 visitors pan India with visitors from Baharain, Dubai, press media etc. Shantibhai Patel, President, GJTCI informed the trade members of the upcoming events during the closing ceremony: Organising B2C show in coming months, Participation in Dubai International Jewellery Week in December 2013, Excellence Award Function, Next B2B show in June 2014.
