With an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades in the diamond, gemstone, and jewellery industries, Larsson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Opsydia. As a respected member of the London Diamond Bourse Council and a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), she has been deeply involved in various facets of the industry. Larsson's recent focus on bespoke jewellery production, sustainable sourcing, and traceable supply chains through her own company, Jacqui Larsson Fine Jewellery, underscores her commitment to ethical practices and innovation.

Before her tenure in the jewellery trade, Larsson established herself as a chartered accountant, gaining valuable insights from her international experience in Australia, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. Her transition into banking and finance honed her commercial acumen, client management skills, and understanding of risk assessment and financial reporting.

During a career hiatus, Larsson furthered her knowledge by obtaining the Gem-A Gemmology Diploma and Diamond Diploma and undertaking an internship at the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), a division of De Beers Group. This hands-on experience deepened her understanding of the diamond pipeline and reinforced her passion for the industry.

As a testament to her leadership and industry influence, Larsson has played an active role in shaping the future of the London Diamond Bourse, serving on its esteemed Council of Management.

Commenting on her new role, Larsson emphasizes her commitment to addressing ethical and accountability issues within the industry. She expresses enthusiasm for promoting Opsydia's revolutionary technology, which features tamper-proof sub-surface inscriptions that enhance traceability and transparency throughout the supply chain.

Opsydia CEO Andrew Rimmer applauds Larsson's appointment, highlighting her extensive industry knowledge and institutional connections. He anticipates her contributions will further propel Opsydia's international growth and development.

Opsydia's innovative technology, including its D4000, D5000, and D6000 Systems, is globally recognized for its ability to securely identify and trace gemstones. By establishing a direct physical link between gemstones and their blockchain records, Opsydia reinforces transparency initiatives and strengthens supply chain provenance.

Looking ahead, Larsson will prioritize cultivating relationships with luxury and manufacturing clients, leveraging her auditing background and diamond expertise to tailor solutions that meet their transparency and provenance objectives. She is set to represent Opsydia at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas exhibition from May 31 to June 3, 2024, showcasing the company's cutting-edge technology and commitment to innovation.
