Christie’s Geneva to auction 101.73-carat diamond

Christie’s Geneva will be offering a 101.73-carat, D, flawless, type IIa pear-shaped diamond on auction on May 15. This diamond is one of the most beautiful whites in reference to its scale, quality and rarity, that has appeared at auction at Christie’s, reports suggest. It originates from a 236-carat rough diamond recovered from the Jwaneng mine in Botswana, reports suggest.

The auction house stated that the buyer of the stone will gain the privilege to name it. The stone was polished in a span of 21 months, reports say.
