Botswana’s diamond exports stood at $139.5 million in December 2012

In December 2012, Botswana's diamond exports (including both rough and polished diamonds), dropped to $139.5 million, from $228 million in December 2011. Imports of diamonds rose to $154.8 million from $48.2 million in December 2011, reports say.

Reports also suggest that the diamond exports in December 2012, were about 68 percent of Botswana’s exports, while its diamond imports were around 30 percent of its imports.
