Net sales at Amazon.com rose 22% in Q4

In the quarter ending December 31, 2012, Amazon.com recorded a 22 percent increase in its net sales to $21.27 billion, reports say. The online retailer’s product sales were up 18.5 percent to $18.15 billion, while revenues from its services increased 47 percent to $3.1 billion.

The operating expenses increased 21.5 percent to $20.86 billion. Net income stood at $97 million (the same was $177 million in the corresponding quarter last year).
