GIA plans to participate at Tuscon Gem Shows

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) plans to participate at the Tucson gem shows this year, with an offering of services and knowledge sharing endeavours. The Institute’s special offerings will take place from Feb. 5-17 at the Tucson Convention Center during the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) GemFair™ and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.

GIA research fellow Dr. James Shigley will present an open seminar on recent gemological discoveries and research. There will also be a Gem Identification Lab Class, an annual dinner, auction and dance party entitled ‘Party at the GIA Gem Mine’, sponsored by the GIA Alumni Association. There will also be GIA Museum Exhibits including exhibits with the First Irradiated Diamonds, The Trilliant Collection, GIA Show Service Laboratory at AGTA GemFair, Free GIA Seminar, GIA Education, Country Origin of Corundum Seminar, Emerald Clarity Enhancement and Origin Seminar.
