diamond world news service

Leading jewellery manufacturing company, Kama Schachter has launched a new collection of jewellery, incorporating colour-enhanced natural diamonds which look similar to the most expensive fancy coloured diamonds but at a fraction of cost. The collection is entitled - The Fiamma Collection.

The Fiamma Collection offers bridal and fashion jewellery with designs carrying the beauty of Italian design motifs. The colour-enhanced natural diamonds are used in hues of soft pink and vivid yellow. These diamond qualities have been achieved applying a breakthrough technology –exclusive to Kama Schachter. It is a patented, colour enhancement process developed by US-based Serenity Technologies. The process consists of treating the pavilion side of white diamonds with an ion induction, synthetic overgrowth colour treatment that substantially enhances a diamond’s colour appearance.

“Until now, very few women had access to fancy coloured diamonds. They were simply too rare to be affordable.” said Katherine Rosenberg, VP/Creative Director for Kama Schachter. “Now – thanks to a stunning technological innovation - The Fiamma Collection brings beautiful, aspirational diamonds within easy reach of fashion-conscious women everywhere.”

The collection was uinveiled at JCK in Las Vegas last month and includes rings, earrings and pendants. The colour-enhanced diamonds are set in 14-karat gold, accented by natural white diamonds. “Naturally coloured diamonds are magnificent in beauty, but prohibitively expensive-from $10,000 to $100,000 per carat. However, Fiamma colour-enhanced diamonds will reproduce the beauty of fancy coloured diamonds for $750 to $2500 per carat” explained Mr. Colin Shah, MD & CEO, Kama Schachter Jewellery.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Kama Schachter is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of diamond jewellery in Asia.
