IIJW 2012 kicks off in Mumbai

The show attracts Bollywood and leading jewellery design houses of India

The 3rd India International Jewellery Week (IIJW), was welcomed with much glamour and sparkle. The five-day show is dedicated to showcasing the best of Indian jewellery design and manufacture opened on August 17 in Mumbai. It is being organised by the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

The show opened with IIJW brand ambassador and actress Sonam Kapoor and Bollywood diva Hema Malini, joined by Bollywood celebrities.

On display was a blend of fashion and glamour and glitter, with collections by ace designers Vikram Phadnis, along with jewellery collections by leading designers and design houses, along with some young designers.
