Net sales at Birks & Mayors down 3% in Q1

Birks & Mayors’ first quarter in 2012 which closed on June 30, 2012 ended with a 3 percent (on y-o-y basis) to $68.8 million. reports say. The company attributed its falling results to the closure of some stores.

Comparable store sales rose 3 percent. Comparable store sales in Canada rose by 7 percent in the said period.
