AGS honours Fred Weber

Awards him with AGS 2012 Robert M. Shipley Award

The American Gem Society (AGS) has honured Fred Weber, CG and owner of Weber Jewelers, Dayton, Ohio, AGS 2012 Robert M. Shipley Award. The award was presented at the organization’s Conclave conference in Miami.

He was recognised for his commitment to the industry, his local community, the jewellery industry and AGS, through his commitment to ethical standards of the AGS. The AGS described him as ‘an enormous asset to the AGS and the AGS Laboratories through his leadership and guidance’.

Weber is also a leader in the Dayton community, as chairman of the board of the Miami Valley Hospital and Premier Health Partners and board chair of Wright State University. He has also served as director of the Dayton Foundation, chair of the CityWide Corporation, Dayton city commissioner and a member of the chamber board, among other positions.
