OGISystems assimilates Symmetry technology in labs around the world

Launches the Scanox HD grading system

diamond world news service

OGI Systems Ltd., recently began assimilation of a unique technological solution for automatic symmetry grading of Round Brilliant diamonds in several majors labs around the world. It has developed a Scanox HD grading system, after extensive research and development.

Grading of symmetry in polished diamonds is usually performed visually by a gemologist using a microscope, which demanded that the gemologist have great mastery over the skill and dedicated time. This is required since the existing optical instruments used for diamond grading by labs and worldwide do not enable absolute and precise results in repeated measurements.

OGI’s Scanox HD grading system includes the unique symmetry software and has the ability to quantify and grade automatically the vast majority of parameters constituting the symmetry of a diamond. This system is available for all labs, manufacturers and dealers of diamonds around the world. OGI customers can now upgrade their current systems to the advanced Scanox systems in very attractive prices.
