PGI appoints Nicholas Smith as regional director

Nicholas Graham Smith will take on the role of regional director at Platinum Guild International (PGI), based out of London and handling six markets - Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France. He will be in charge of the company’s jewellery development programs in these locations.

PGI is focusing on integrating its operations further and enhance the use of platinum in the jewelry sector.

Smith carries with him an experience of working in jewelry development and marketing at De Beers. He held a senior regional position at the company before leaving it in 2007 to establish his own management consultancy firm.

PGIU has recently changed its senior management level with two regional directors- Smith and his colleague who will look into development work in the Chinese and Indian markets, while Sebastien Thomas has been appointed as international marketing manager.
