GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in collaboration with its Mumbai Alumni Chapter organised a seminar – ‘Building Brands through Events’, delivered by Kiren Shrivastav, managing director and CEO of Molecule Communications.

“Kiren’s expertise and emphasis on the importance of traditional promotional mediums has enlightened alumni and students in the field of events,” said Manoj Singhania, director of education of GIA in India. “The gem and jewellery industry has experienced radical growth in the Indian economy, and GIA is pleased to conduct such events to add value to our Alumni community, ”added Singhania.

Shrivastav shared how to identify business objectives by using events as a promotional tool, discussed case studies from Gehna Jewellers, Orra (amongst others) and gave insights on event promotion techniques that can be implemented at micro and macro levels: from a freelance jewellery designer to a large scale retail jeweller.
