Owner of Vaibhav Jewellers found dead

Police have arrested three individuals on charges of kidnapping and murder

After two days of having been reported missing, the owner of Vaibhav Jewellers was found dead in the Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The owner - Manoj Kumar, had boarded a flight from Jaipur to Bengaluru reportedly with jewels worth Rs.3 crore. He was headed the next day to the Bengaluru airport to board a flight to Mumbai, when he went missing.

According to reports, the police have so far arrested two individuals and a cab driver on charges of kidnapping and murdering the jeweller. Vaibhav Jewellers is based in Visakhapatnamm, in Southern India. Traders in the region have called for a shutdown Friday following the incident, reports suggest.

Manoj Kumar was 47 years old, as reports say.
