Vipin Sharma is the newly appointed Director Jewellery (India) at the World Gold Council (WGC), with the task at hand to oversee the strategic development of the WGC’s Jewellery division in India, with immediate effect. He will report directly to Ajay Mitra, Managing Director for India and Middle East at the World Gold Council.

Sharma’s previous work engagements include co-founding the OyzterBay retail chain, forming strategic joint ventures for OyzterBay, managing the overall retail business at Rajesh Exports Limited including setting up and managing its retail chains - Shubh and Laabh and a stint also at jewellery retail brand Tanishq.
