Israel’s polished diamond exports up 57% in July 2011

July 2011 delivered a 57 percent increase on y-o-y basis in Israel’s polished diamond exports to $713.8 million. Exports of rough diamonds rose 45 percent to $351.3 million. The country’s total diamond imports (rough diamonds and polished diamonds combined) increased 83 percent to $1.15 billion.

The country’s net diamond account (valued as total exports of rough and polished less total imports) dropped to deficit of $80.6 million ( net account in July 2010 was $71.7 million).
