TanzaniteOne Limited achieved sales worth $3.96 million a rise of 48 percent (y-o-y) at the end of the first quarter of 2011. There was an 8 percent increase in production to 609,737 carats of tanzanite, in which a 12,100-carat stone was discovered - the third largest tanzanite the company has ever mined. The three months ended with the exit of the company’s chief operating officer, Zane Swanepoel.
