Thomas Moses of GIA to speak on Synthetic Diamonds and Treatments

A talk on ‘Updates on Synthetic Diamonds and Treatments’, will be delivered by Thomas M. Moses, senior vice president of GIA (Gemological Institute of America) its Laboratory and Research, as he addresses the GIA Alumni Association’s Africa Chapter on February 21 in Botswana.

Issues covered in the talk will span information on the latest developments in treated and synthetic diamonds, including high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) and irradiated diamonds, and new developments in synthetics grown by HPHT and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) methods.

The lecture is organised as a free event and will be held at Grand Palm Hotel in Gaborone, Botswana.

GIA Alumni Association’s Africa Chapter was organised to enhance ongoing education, communication and networking opportunities for GIA graduates in the Botswana and South Africa regions.
