The week ending the day after Christmas saw a 17 percent hike in sales to $2.45 billion. Reports also suggest that comScore determines this to be affected also by the heavy snow weather conditions in the US.

Sales indicate that the US consumer has been willing to spend slightly stronger than expectations. This season, the internet sales has been able to ‘surpass the levels of the past few years to set a new record for spending at almost $31 billion’, reports say.
