Italian jewellery house Pomellato is set to open its first-ever exhibition in Paris, titled Le Joaillier Révolutionnaire (The Revolutionary Jeweller), at the Palais de Tokyo from June 24 to July 20, 2026. The exhibition will present nearly six decades of the maison’s history, tracing the creative and cultural developments that have shaped the Milan-based brand since its founding in 1967.
Curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor and Head of Jewellery Design at Politecnico di Milano, the exhibition explores five themes that have defined Pomellato’s identity: image, craftsmanship, style, colour and women. Through a combination of archival creations, contemporary collections and visual material, the exhibition examines the brand’s role in challenging traditional jewellery conventions and introducing a more contemporary approach to design and wearability.
Among the key exhibits are Pomellato’s signature chain creations, sculptural gold designs and coloured gemstone pieces that have become hallmarks of the maison. The display also highlights the company’s long-standing emphasis on colour experimentation and unconventional gemstone combinations, elements that have helped distinguish its collections within the luxury jewellery sector.
Photography forms a significant component of the exhibition, reflecting Pomellato’s early collaborations with leading fashion photographers. Works by Gian Paolo Barbieri, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Albert Watson, Lord Snowdon, Michel Comte and others will be presented, illustrating how photography became central to the maison’s brand identity and visual storytelling.
The exhibition also examines Pomellato’s relationship with women, a theme that has been integral to the brand since its inception. According to the organizers, the display will showcase how the maison developed jewellery designed for self-purchasing women and personal expression, while also highlighting the ongoing Pomellato for Women initiative launched in 2017 to promote gender equality and raise awareness around violence against women.
The public opening follows a private preview scheduled for June 23, during which Pomellato will unveil its latest high jewellery collection, Pomellato Stile Libero. Entry to the exhibition will be free through advance reservation, with bookings available via the brand’s dedicated exhibition platform.
