Christie’s Jewels: The Geneva Sale held on November 17, 2010 concluded with revenues worth $40,366,627 from 212 lots. The sale offered a total of 291 lots. Jean-Marc Lunel, Head of the Jewellery Department, Christie's Geneva: “As always, the best quality jewels were keenly competed for and diamond prices maintained healthy levels as seen at sales worldwide. The top lot was an antique pear-shaped D, internally flawless, type IIa Golconda diamond of 26.17 cts that sold for $3,483,213 ($133,000 per ct.) Two important early 20th century Sarpechs created great interest selling for prices in excess of their top estimates, while a Lalique Art Nouveau necklace sold for $329,289 against an estimate of $60,000-80,000.”

The remaining none lots of the top 10 lots included - an oval-shaped D, VVS1 potentially flawless diamond of 20.54 cts was bought for $ 2,806,509 , an emerald and diamond Sarpech, set with six circular diamonds, totalling 70.30 cts was sold for $ 2,242,589, A diamond Sarpech, the 17 principal diamonds totalling 152.64 cts sold for $ 1,791,453, A rectangular-cut fancy intense orangy-pink, SI1 diamond of 12.30 cts ($ 118,000 per ct) was bought for $ 1,453,101, A D, internally flawless three stone diamond pendant of 10.03, 3.03 and 2.01 cts sold for $ 1,271,841, A rectangular-cut F, VS1 diamond ring of 13.43 cts, by Van Cleef & Arpels ($ 83,000 per ct) was bought for $ 1,114,749, A D, internally flawless diamond of 10.06 cts ($ 108,000 per ct) was sold for $ 1,090,581, An octagonal-shaped Colombian emerald of 25.83 cts ($ 40,000 per ct) sold for $ 1,042,245 and the last top lot An antique ruby and diamond necklace, circa 1890 sold for $ 860,985. The top 10 lots either matched or sold for higher that their respective estimate price.
