“The services at our London laboratory have been offered based on the significant number of retail businesses with large showrooms and multiple locations and the need to meet their demand for certification thereby creating significant potential for our offerings.” SGL becomes one of the only international gem testing labs in London to have begun its operations by simultaneously introducing the Mobile Lab concept for retailers to certify their stock on-site and reduces the risk of transporting or carrying goods outside their premises and additional cost savings.

The SGL offers a fully equipped diamond grading laboratory with the leading state-of-the-art gemmological instruments - 10 x diamond magnification lens, advanced microscopic systems, diamond sure to the sophisticated FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) and Raman spectrometer. Continuing technological Investments will keep the laboratory at the forefront of diamond grading in the United Kingdom. The Laboratory is able to detect and identify synthetic diamonds and HPHT treated stones as well as enhancements ranging from laser drilling and fracture filled stones to colour treated diamonds.
