After a hard work day during the IIJS 2010, it was an evening of fun, networking and entertainment over dinner and cocktails at the special GJF Nite held on August 20.

In between special entertainment performances and the segments of a dazzling fashion show, the GJF honoured individuals associated with the industry from different parts of the country for their contribution to the trade. Those honoured were Fakirchand Gurao of Nagpur, Nathella Ramgupt Chetty from Chennai, Jugraj Parakh from Durg, Chhatisgarh and Madhusudan Daga from Mumbai. Two individuals were also recognized posthumously -- Rashmikant Durlabhji of Jaipur and Jagannath Gangaram Pednekar of Maharashtra.

A special Retailer’s Kit was unveiled by the Gemological Institute of America, which has been specially designed as a handy tool for retailers. The kit contains a lot of relevant material including an explanation of the 4C’s, which can also be easily used by customers. This will help jewellers promote diamond jewellery.

The evening was supported by The Gemological Institute of America (GIA), P & S Shringar, Priority Jewels, Shilpi Jewellers, D Navinchandra Gems,!869 Guild, KRIZZ, Kadam & Kadam Jewellers, Amore Jewels, Indian Jeweller, Shri Hari Darshan Jewellers and BVC logistics.
