Shrenuj & Co.’s profits rise around 39% in June quarter

Sales for Shrenuj & Co. valued Rs. 4.66 billion at the end of the quarter closing June 30, 2010, rising 43 percent over Rs 3.26 billion in the same period last year. The company is a leading Indian diamond and diamond manufacturing company. Its sales accounted Rs.2.87 billion worth of diamond sales (rising 28 percent y-o-y) and studded jewellery worth Rs.1.79 billion (rising 76 percent y-o-y). The company posted profits worth Rs.134.4 million, which increased 39 percent y-o-y from around Rs 10.1 billion in the same three months last year.
