GEMScribe - Advanced inscription system to be launched

A new advanced system for inscription on a diamond’s girdle called GEMScribe is being launched by SAWCut Ltd at AsiaWorld Expo 2010 in Hong Kong in September. According to the manufacturers, the new system is powerful, accurate, stable, practical and easy-to-use, with a high performance and on many other exclusive features.

Based on enhanced technology, the system, which is already being used in many labs worldwide, has new features for inscription on the diamond’s girdle.

Lior Modlin, Marketing and Sales Department manager, SAWCut explains, “First, the system can inscribe on diamonds of different sizes, ranging from 5 points to 1000 carats. It also has the exclusive ability to inscribe on some embedded stones. Furthermore, the size of the fonts, numbers and shapes can range from 20 to 250 microns. And on top of all, the system supports numerous Windows fonts, including Chinese. “

The company says that special emphasis has been placed on ergonomics. Besides, being a Plug n' Play, progamme, no special training is required. Users also have the facility to upload a logo or a graphic file that has been created in almost any graphic programme. The manufacturers say that it needs no maintenance, which facilitates its employment on a regular basis. They also maintain that it is reasonably priced and is "affordable for anyone running a respectable diamond business”.
