RH Prince Philippe of Belgium unveils 100-faceted gem

The diamond was sourced from Rosy Blue in Antwerp

A 100-faceted gem dubbed as ORRA Crown Star Belgium, was recently unveiled at the hands of RH Prince Philippe of Belgium, Baron Dilip Mehta, CEO of Rosy Blue, and Vijay Jain, CEO of ORRA, in Mumbai India, as reported by AFNS. The diamond was sourced from Rosy Blue in Antwerp and is carries a certification by HRD Antwerp – Diamond Lab.

The ORRA Crown Star boasts about twice the number of facets as compared to the traditional diamond which is usually of 57 facets, reports add. It has been inspired by Belgium's 700-year diamond history. The gem is valued at $1 million.

Unveiling ceremony of the stone was held on March 26, and was part of the agenda of a delegation of Belgian businessmen led by Prince Philippe to India. The ceremony also included the inauguration of Rosy Blue's new corporate offices in Mumbai by Prince Philippe, board members of Rosy Blue, and the head of ICICI Bank, reports add.

ORRA - The Diamond Destination, is a retail subsidiary of Rosy Blue.
