The Israeli Diamond Industry is preparing to participate at the JCK Show – Las Vegas 2009. The Israel Diamond Pavilion, hosted by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) will feature 22 exhibitors, with an additional 21 Israeli companies exhibiting throughout the show. For the IDI, the JCK show is a window to its major market – U.S. for polished diamonds. Last year, Israel exported $2.7 billion in polished diamonds to the U.S. out of a total of $6.2 billion.

IDI is optimistic about sales opportunities at the show, with the markets recovering, although marginally.

The Israel Diamond Pavilion will be located in the upper level at booths 900 – 3100. IDI recently launched an ambitious strategic marketing initiative “Together Works”, with the first stage being dedicated to the U.S. market. The campaign’s visual element is the traditional handshake, and it is aimed at demonstrating the Israeli Diamond Industry’s commitment to its international trading partners.

The “Together Works” programme was introduced in the United States as an exclusive B2B service – a 24/7 toll-free number 1-888-42-WORKS – through which orders can be placed. These are uploaded in real time to IDI’s portal site, and all Israeli diamond companies receive text messages with the clients’ needs. IDI will launch a further stage in the “Together Works” programme during a press conference at JCK Vegas.
