Rosy Blue releases its first CSR report

The report underlines the CSR activities of the group in 2008

Making known its efforts towards corporate social responsibility (CSR), the Rosy Blue Group has released its first CSR report on its online portal www.rosyblue.com/html/csrreport.html. Within this report, the group has illustrated its CSR activities in the year 2008, with a focus on ways in which it achieved social, environmental and community differences.

Examples of the Group’s involvement with CSR can be cited since 2005, when it conferred to the best practice principles of De Beers, became an active founding member of the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC). During June 2008, it signed the UN Global Compact, which underlined its commitment to operate in a responsible and sustainable manner.

It is mandatory for business participants to submit a progress report every year on the UN Global Compact website and share it with their stakeholders. The first report of rosy blue was submitted to the Global Compact and accepted on April 30, 2009. It benchmarks the Group's accomplishments and activities against the 10 guiding principles of the Global Compact.
