The decision comes in the wake of the current market slowdown

The JCK New Delhi show slated to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi between 27th and 30th June, 2009, has been indefinitely postponed by the organisers Reed Exhibitions. This decision follows the present lull in the gem and jewellery industry due to the global market slowdown.

The orgainsers felt the postponing of the event was in the best interest of the exhibitors as the domestic diamond market is not seeing encouraging signs for trade. According to sources, Reed Infomedia – the publisher of JCK India Magazine, has been entirely bought over by the Infomedia Group, which previously owned 50 percent stake in Reed Infomedia.
