During January, HRD Antwerp will be promoting its new diamond certificate with unique security features and a refined cut grade system at two prominent international trade shows - the Macau Jewellery and Watch Fair, Hong Kong, and Vicenzaoro First 2009, Italy. The Macau Fair is being held between 8 January 2009 till January 11 at the Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Centre at The Venetian Macao. Following the Macau Fair immediately is the Vicenzaoro First 2009, scheduled between January 11 to 18.

HRD is keen at boosting its growth through inroads into the Chinese and European markets. “Our presence in Macau and Italy kicks off a difficult, but very active year on the Chinese and European market,” said Georges Brys, General Manager of HRD Antwerp. “Both are an integral component of our growth strategy, and to raise our profile in the marketplace we will be exhibiting at numerous trade shows this year.”

The HRD Antwerp’s refined cut grade system features a grading of “Excellent,” a new development in grading reports. It grades a cut using three parameters - proportions, polish and symmetry, rather than just two parameters of proportions and finish, as is traditionally mentioned.
