Paz cancels current dates of the WFDB-Asia Summit

Due to the ongoing political developments and security concern in Israel, Avi Paz, president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) president has postponed the 2009 WFDB-Asia Summit meeting slated to begin today on January 7. Paz has intimated all leaders of all WFDB affiliated bourses in Asia (Bangkok, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo of the cancellation of the current dates.

The meeting’s agenda included a discussion on inroads of how the WFDB can support its members across Asia to achieve better results; the tools WFDB can offer to help its members promote their competitive position in the global market; and efforts that its members can take to promote generic sale of diamonds.

Paz stated that he will try to reschedule the meeting very soon.
