Valenza is where the International Diamond Laboratories (IDL) has opened its new diamond and diamond jewellery grading laboratory, for the convenience of customers in Italy and rest of Europe. The European markets have since before been using the IDL certificates and the new lab would increase the level of service.

As the current market is getting more conscious about ethical diamonds and consumers being cautious about their spends, grading labs are seeing a significant increase in demand for their services. Retailers are expected to deliver a verification of the diamond quality and value.

Presently, IDL has its labs in Dubai, Mumbai, Antwerp and Istanbul.
