GJEPC announces dates for IIJS Signature 2009

Intends to exemplify India’s growth in all aspects of gem & jewellery manufacturing

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has announced dates of hosting the second edition of its IIJS Signature 2009 - February 20-23, 2009 at Kala Academy, Panaji, Goa. Given the prevailing market scenario of the global economy facing a major slowdown, GJEPC is optimistic to hosting the event with the same fervor and optimism as its first edition.

Mr. Vasant Mehta, Chairman, GJEPC, says "IIJS Signature promises to highlight India's capabilities to manufacture jewellery in terms of design, craftsmanship and quality at par with International centers in the world.”

“The show will focus on select markets such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Gulf, Russia, CIS etc where recession's effects are not felt at such great extent. Signature is an ideal platform to identify and remove impediments that prevails and helps clear the way for a new era of trade cooperation and investment. The show also facilitates a broader business dialogue". Mr. Mehta added. Through the event, the Council intends to reiterate and highlight on aspects of design, innovation, quality, cost effectiveness, reinforcing the demand for gem and jewellery products amidst the financial meltdown. The show will promote networking, for further partnerships with India's foremost jewellery manufacturers, within a luxury environ created by the scenic – Goa.

The exhibits will see an emphasis on a wide variety of design, innovation, price points and an exclusive experience of Incredible India will be on offer at IIJS Signature 2009.

To encourage networking, exclusive evenings have been planned. IIJS Signature reiterates India's growing stature as a jewellery production centre, in terms of its design creativity, manufacturing and quality standards, and business conduct. IIJS Signature is a by invitation event.
