DiamondWorld.Net makes successful online trading

Diamond World, a trade magazine of the gem, diamond and jewellery industry, recently announced the achievements of its online initiative diamondworld.net. The portal has been the first such online market place for the Indian gem and jewellery industry. 30,000 loose diamonds are on sale in first launch week.

The portal serves the objective of consolidating the industry, allowing direct sourcing of gemstones and jewellery. It is aimed at strengthening the supply chain, for retailers to directly tap manufacturers. Some initial members to the portal include: J.B. Brothers, Ankit Gems, C. Dinesh, Eurostar Antwerp, Karp Impex, Suashish Diamonds. Several jewellery retailers also trade on the website.

Through the portal and its print publications, Diamond World, is pursuing an objective to be a key media for circulating information in the industry, while also leveraging trade.
