As Tracr Platform moves into its second phase of development, De Beers announced management changes within the company.  The platform which aims to trace every diamond mined in the world is ready to enter the next phase.

Jim Duffy who had been Tracr’s CEO is on his way out, while Wesley Tucker will spearhead the project going forward. Tucker also serves as De Beer’s Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation. With 6 years of experience in Accenture, Wesley brings with him a robust experience in digital and technology.

Tracr is an industry-wide distributed traceability platform developed for the diamond industry, by the industry.  Tracr is the first Internet of Value platform that can securely trace a diamond across the diamond value chain – from mine to consumer.  Tracr uses an effective blend of processes with hardware and software technologies that allow the industry to achieve end to end provenance, authenticity and traceability.
