DMCC and govt. of Panyu sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the government of Panyu District, China, which states mutual cooperation in the jewellery sector, especially diamonds and coloured stones. Panyu, more than a fifth of China's export of gold and inlaid jewellery, becoming the gem and jewellery capital of China.

Both, will be responsible to support each other’s jewellery trade, to strengthen it and give it a prominent presence in international markets concentrating in the Middle East markets. This will be practiced through inviting jewellery trade delegations from each other’s countries, exchange of market expertise in jewellery design, training, business opportunities and educational initiatives.
