ALROSA earns $11.9 mln at rough diamond auction in Vladivostok

ALROSA held an international auction in Vladivostok for special size rough diamonds (over 10.8 carats). The company earned $11.9 million in sales revenue

ALROSA sold 123 rough diamonds with the total weight of 2,205 carats. There were participants from India, Israel, UAE and Belgium at the auction.
 
“This year’s first auction at our Far Eastern trading site generated good results. The participants purchased over 70% of all the auctioned rough diamonds,” commented Evgeny Agureev, Deputy CEO of ALROSA.
 
In 2020, ALROSA plans two more auctions for special size rough diamonds in Vladivostok.
