Gitanjali is 'outstanding exporter of the year’

Company forms a subsidiary to provide financial and other assistance

Gitanjali has incorporated a subsidiary namely, Mohar Jewels, which will represent the corporate strategy of providing financial assistance and other facilities to those keen on manufacturing, buying, selling, importing and exporting diamonds and other precious stones. Mohar Jewels has identified to provide gold loans and safe deposit vaults.

The corporate has recently earned the accolade of the ‘outstanding exporter of the year’ award in the gem and jewellery sector by DHL and CNBC-TV18 at the second ‘International Trade Awards 08’.

The winner was decided upon sales growth over the last three years, raw material sourcing arrangements, distribution network, and future growth strategy. There were 14 award categories, which were won by industry giants such as Reliance Industries Ltd. and Infosys.
