A fresh wave of hope has been infused into the jewellery industry as Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam announces formal withdrawal of the extradition bill and sets up a platform to look into key causes of protest crisis. The announcement will put an end to the 14 week long protest that have engulfed the country and has been touted as the country’s worst political crisis in decades. Jewellers and diamantaires can breathe a sigh of relief as the upcoming September Hong Kong Gem and Jewellery Fair scheduled to begin from 16th September will be back on track.
