ICA Congress to hold session on Artisanal Mining in Bangkok in October

ICA Congress is set to hold its annual meet this year in October in Bangkok, Thailand. A session on responsible sourcing and artisanal mining has been organized to educate the audience on the need and benefits of this sourcing method. The ICA has organized 3 presentations and panel discussions on 14th October in Bangkok, Thailand on the same.

The first session covers development of small deposits and ASM activities in Africa by Cedric Simonet, Geologist and mining expert. Charles Lawson will give an overview of ASM in Madagascar followed by the panel discussion on Responsible Gemstone Sourcing Challenges moderated by Jean Claude. The panelists include Thanong Leelawatanasuk, GIT nawal.ait-hocine, RJC Tony Brooke, Richland Resources, Stephan Rief Warren Boyd, Potenta Mining and Rui Galopim.
