GIA publishes Four C's brochure in Spanish

diamond world news service

The Four C's brochure by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) published in English alone, has for the first time been printed in a foreign language version, Spanish. The Spanish brochure will be read by the Hispanic population in America. The Hsipanic population as noted by the U.S. Census Bureau study is the only largest and fastest growing minority in the US.

GIA’s initiative to deliver the contents in local languages stems from the purpose of creating the brochure as an educational tool for people across cultures and languages. The brochure is a description about a diamond's color, cut, clarity and carat weight, GIA Color and Clarity scales and the GIA Cut scale for round brilliant diamonds through the full-color piece illustrated with photographs. As an introductory offer, the GIA is offering the people and trade to order the first 100 brochures cost free, although the GIA has defined some of its terms and conditions on its website. This initiative is the first such, and GIA intends to publish its brochures in more native languages in the times ahead.
