Three countries - Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana are coming together to form an organised group of diamond producers in South America, to protect the to protect the interests of South American producers- both mining and alluvial producers.

The organisation would make an official introduction at the Kimberley Process meeting, which is slated to be held in Brussels. Here, the members of the organisation would exchange views with diamond producers in southern Africa, and gain a feedback of how the Kimberley Process views this organisation, especially as Venezuela has failed to comply with the process' minimal demands.
