India and South Africa join hands

India has shown interest in joining hands with South Africa for mining ventures and on acquiring the latest mining technology, as reported in the Hindu newspaper. A meeting to this effect took place between the Indian minister of state for mines, Subbarami Reddy, and South African minister, Sandile Nogxina.

Nogxina welcomed Indian investments into the country, and the South African chamber of mines will be presented with the options of mining opportunities in India. Indian mining technicians would also be trained by South African experts. Both countries agreed to develop a joint technical working group and identify projects.
