Bulk-sampling programme recovers diamonds weighing 136.07 carats

Mining results came forth for the bulk-sampling programme conducted on JD-03 kimberlite near Tahera's Jericho diamond mine in Canada. Accordingly, an average grade of 0.27 carats per ton was revealed. Diamonds from the entire sample weighed a total of 136.07 carats. Around 3,746 diamonds of a size larger than 0.85 mm, and weighing a total of 134.7 carats, were recovered from 495.1 dry tons of kimberlite. A 1.69 carat stone was the largest to be retrieved. Stones greater than 0.75 carats averaged a price of $227 per carat.
