JA Winter Show celebrated its 100th anniversary on January 22 at the Jacob K. Kavits Convention Center in New York City. Assaf Catran, Director of Business Development at the Israel Diamond Institutes New York Office visited the show on Sunday.

He said that, The 9000 participating retailers and buyers from around the world, make for great networking opportunities. The Couture Pavilion, a business meeting venue for exhibitors and retailers that was launched in 2005, is open again this year. Other meeting venues include the international pavilions of Italy, Thailand, Turkey, Japan, Brazil, Hong Kong, and the UK.

For a second year in a row, buyers and exhibitors are offered a range of seminars by organizations such as the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), and the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT). Another feature of the show is the Red Carpet Jewelry Tour, in which jewelry worn by celebrities at award ceremonies is on display.
