The International Institute of Gemology (IIG), the city’s leading gemology institute hosted Ms Ali Pastorini, co-owner of Del Lima Jewelry and President of Mujeres Brillantes for an interactive session.

The session primarily revolved around women entrepreneurs in the male dominated jewellery industry. Ali Pastorini is the President of Mujeres Brillantes, an association which brings together approximately 1000 women working in the gold and diamond trading sector, mainly from Latin America, as well as from Turkey, Spain, Italy and Germany. The mission of Mujeres Brillantes is to help women in the jewelry and watchmaking sectors consolidate their business in order to exchange professional skills and experience. She had a lively discussion with the students and a few women entrepreneurs who were inspired by her drive to do better.
